It's All About The Team
When working with a large group of people sometimes it’s hard to communicate well and/or build relationships. Now more than ever building a relationship not only among your team but also with your clients is vital to being successful in business. One way to encourage group interaction is through team activities in a relaxed environment away from the office.
Chef Andrew Huszar provides your company with the perfect atmosphere for employee and/or client relationship building. Cooking and preparing a meal requires teamwork and communication, allowing you to share an unforgettable time together. Team cooking can develop skill sets such as: service cooperation, planning, communication, and attention to detail.
The most rewarding part experience is the exquisite meal to be enjoyed by the whole team that you prepared! You can bring a fine wine to compliment the menu. You also have the opportunity to evaluate the meal, the process, and the experience to discover how well everyone works together.
There are a several options available for team building activities. However, we feel that a group cooking class is the best choice. Our love of excellent food and fine wine.
a Cooking Class?
- The neutral territory provides a welcome setting to set aside normal roles.
- Promotes and fosters team spirit.
- Improves communication skills.
- Relieves stress & eases workplace tension.
- Improves interpersonal relationships.
- Enjoy the meal you prepared as a team.
Each person in a team is unique, creating a diverse and interesting group. Just like your team, each team building cooking class is unique. Chef Andrew and yourself will select the menu for your corporate team building cooking. This allows Chef Andrew to fit the menu with the personality of your team. Once the menu is chosen Chef Andrew will shop local markets to bring you and your team the freshest ingredients with the best flavors.
Our minimum class size is ten. Once you have everyone on board for the team activity it can be scheduled at your convenience. Once the menu and date have been selected, you work is done until its time to start cooking.
Complimentary appetizers will be awaiting you as you and your guests arrive. While enjoying the appetizers, Chef Andrew will discuss the four course menu selections once everyone has arrived. He will take you through the process of how the cooking class will continue.
During this time Chef Andrew will also share information about either the importance of the ingredients or the history of the dish. This gives you a better understanding of why you’re using specific ingredients or why a dish is prepared a certain way. Creating an experience that is hands on in both action and learning. Your guests will then receive aprons to wear, recipes, and hygiene instructions appropriate for food preparation. Depending on the size of your group, it may be necessary to break out into smaller cooking groups before cooking begins.
After the meal has finished cooking you will enjoy the fruits of your labor. There is nothing more rewarding than enjoying food you have prepared yourself. For a finale, we will evaluate the meal, the cooking process, and discuss the highlights of the experience.
Another option for team building exercises is our team cook-off. It’s where The Office meets Chopped. Team members get to show off their creativity and culinary skills in the kitchen. The produce and other items you will be cooking are purchased fresh the week of your team event to ensure you get the highest quality ingredients with which to prepare your meal.
It’s an entertaining, fun, and relaxing way to get to know your team members better. Before your skills are tested in the kitchen you and your guests will be greeted with drinks and appetizers.
Everyone will be divided into teams. There are baskets in the kitchen filled with the secret ingredients. Based on the ingredients you discover in your baskets, your team will develop a menu for the different courses of the meal.
You also will have a full kitchen that includes every utensil you could think of at your disposal to make your dishes. After you’ve made your dishes the judging will commence and there can only be one winner…. Judges can either be only members of the participating company or they can include Chef Andrew as well.
